This matter was canvassed in the supreme court in 2012 by an MP of the then opposition, but the supreme court gave an order in 2014 that the loss was a pure commercial loss that arose In a normal investment decision in an year when the central bank had made a substantial profit of US$430 million through its Reserve Management activities. The Supreme court clearly held that there was no mismanagement or corruption whatsoever involved in the investment decision.
